HOW TO REMOVE ODOURS
Removing odours needs an assessment approach. You need to decide if the odour is mild or strong. If the odour is mild then turning on the ozone generator for a few minutes will do the trick but if it is strong then we recommend ozone shock treatment.
OZONE SHOCK TREATMENT
Ozone shock treatment is reserved for the toughest of odours and requires the affected area to be cleared for a few hours so that no people or animals are present to breath in the ozone gas.
Ozone removes odours but it is no substitute for old fashioned cleaning. First make sure that the mess is removed with a mild soap and water and any organic waste has been taken away
- Clear the room for a few hours, we recommend putting up a sign to let others know not to enter the room as ozone can cause coughing and can be unpleasant.
- Once a few hours has passed go in and turn the ozone generator off
- Open all the windows and doors and with 30 minutes for the ozone gas to turn back into oxygen

For odours that are ingrained into the fibres from continuous exposure we recommend ozone shock treatment. This is when you leave an Elavo ozone generator on for a few hours with the windows shut so high levels of ozone can accumulate and get to the source of the odours.
